Heart Center Preventive Cardiology Fellowship

The Advanced Fellowship in Preventive Cardiology in the Division of Outpatient Cardiology, Department of Cardiology, Children’s Hospital Boston, aims to promote the clinical and academic training of physicians specializing in pediatric preventive cardiology and to support and advance clinical research on the evaluation and treatment of cardiovascular risk during childhood. Trainees who participate in this 12 month Advanced Fellowship in Preventive Cardiology will be immersed into this active clinical, research, and teaching environment with the goal of substantially augmenting their clinical and research skills.

The Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia

Division of Cardiac Critical Care Medicine, Advanced Fellowship in Cardiac Critical Care Medicine

The Division of Cardiac Intensive Care at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia is offering two positions for a Senior Fellowship in Cardiac Critical Care Medicine starting July 1, 2018.  This one year of additional training is available to those who are board certified in Pediatrics and board eligible/certified in Pediatric Critical Care Medicine or Pediatric Cardiology. 

The CICU at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is one of the largest in the world dedicated to the treatment of children with congenital heart disease.  More than 850 pediatric heart surgeries are performed each year and there is a wide breath of complexity.  Candidates will have ample exposure to preoperative and postoperative care of infants and children with critical congenital heart disease as well as pulmonary hypertension, adult congenital heart disease, heart and lung transplantation, ECMO and ventricular assist devices.  The CICU offers a multidisciplinary experience involving collaboration with cardiothoracic surgeons, cardiac anesthesiologists, interventional cardiologists, electrophysiologists, pediatric cardiologists and other ancillary staff.  We have a state-of-the-art 26-28 bed CICU unit with 11 Cardiac Intensivists. 

Training will consist of approximately 5-6 months of CICU service with additional clinical rotations in Echocardiography, Cardiac Catheterization, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure, OR/Anesthesia, PICU, Airway, and ECMO depending on the fellow’s training background.  The goal of this program is to prepare individuals for a career and future leadership in pediatric cardiac critical care.

UT Southwestern

Medical Center

Our team at UT Southwestern and Children's Medical Center Dallas is excited to be recruiting for an advanced imaging 4th year fellowship focused on cardiovascular MRI (CMR), to start in July 2018. Our CMR team includes four pediatric cardiologists and a pediatric radiologist, and two dedicated technologists, all with extensive CMR experience. We perform CMRs on our dedicated 1.5 T Philips Ingenia CMR scanner in the Heart Center, with an expanding cath-MRI program, cath fusion capabilities, and research agreements with Philips and Siemens. We have active partnerships with UT Southwestern Dept. of Radiology and Advanced Imaging Research Center, UT Dallas, national collaborations with Boston Children’s, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and others, and international collaborations including King’s College London (UK), University of Tübingen (GE), Toronto SickKids (CA), Kinderspital Zürich (CH), and others.

The fellow would be expected to be heavily involved in both our clinical and research MRI programs.

UCSF Imaging

4th Year Non-Invasive Imaging Fellowship Opportunity!

The University of California-San Francisco is offering a position for a 4th year non-invasive imaging fellow to start in July 2018. Candidates must have successfully completed a pediatric cardiology fellowship and be eligible to obtain a California Medical License. Fellows on J-1 or H-1B Visas are welcome to apply. The program continues to expand with 6 Full-Time imaging faculty, a very robust transthoracic and transesophageal program as well as a renown fetal program. The categorical fellowship has 9 fellows. Imaging fellows will get experience in all areas of echocardiography as well as exposure to nationally renown faculty in all areas of cardiology and cardiothoracic surgery.
